Atelier Delphine is a minimalist American designer clothing label for women, founded in Los Angeles in 2011 by Japanese designer Yuka Izutsu. Izutsu studied literature in Japan, moved to Los Angeles and was studying fine art at ArtCenter College of Design when the sample and pattern maker at the baby-clothing company where she worked encouraged her to start a line. She launched it in March 2011 with romantic loungewear, and still works with that same team. Pieces are made in Los Angeles, New York and Peru, where its alpaca knitwear is produced. The label is rooted in Japanese craft and sensibility, with attention to natural fibre, proportion and the way a garment moves. Fabrics are sourced from Japan, Italy, France and beyond, and each piece is designed to be worn across seasons and years. Atelier Delphine was profiled by Racked LA in 2012, has collaborated with Of a Kind and is stocked by independent boutiques such as Couverture & The Garbstore.

LE17SEPTEMBRE

South Korea · Est. 2013 · Mid-range

LE17SEPTEMBRE is a minimalist South Korean designer clothing label for women and men, founded in Seoul in 2013 by designer Eunhye Shin. Most garments are designed and responsibly made in South Korea, with some produced in China. Production is kept limited to avoid overproduction and reduce waste, using wool, cashmere, cotton and linen, and the label has introduced recycled polyester and undyed cotton yarn to lower its impact. LE17SEPTEMBRE debuted internationally with its pre-fall 2019 collection in Paris and was chosen within its first season for Net-a-Porter's The Vanguard programme. It has been featured by Marie Claire and is a favourite of fashion influencers on Instagram.

The Slow Label

Austria · Est. 2019 · Mid-range

The Slow Label is a European sustainable, minimalist clothing label for women, founded in Vienna in 2019 by Anna Laura Amenta. A PhD-qualified fashion designer and environmental activist, she is a pioneer of industrial upcycling and developed the UPMADE® methodology and certification with the Stockholm Environment Institute Tallinn Centre. The brand's story was recorded in the documentary Out of Fashion, and it dresses teams at more than 200 organisations.
