Lethal Cosmetics
Germany · Est. 2016 · Mid-range
Lethal Cosmetics is a Berlin-based colour brand that became Germany's first one hundred percent vegan makeup label, and it has spent since 2016 building a reputation for pigment that mainstream European brands do not attempt. Its own positioning is refreshingly unbothered: not for everyone, perfect for you. The range is built for people who treat makeup as a medium. Highly saturated pressed eyeshadows, multichromes, duochromes and pigments sit alongside a custom magnetic palette system that lets customers assemble their own configurations rather than buy fixed selections, cutting waste as well as cost. The brand describes its audience as creators, shapeshifters and storytellers, and the shade names and collections follow suit. Every product is vegan and PETA-certified, and the brand has received PETA's Progress Award for its work. Formulations are paraben-free, microplastic-free, GMO-free and gluten-free, and products are additionally halal certified through the World Halal Union, a credential few Western colour brands hold. The brand is transparent about what it has not yet solved, disclosing that some matte eyeshadows currently contain talc and committing publicly to becoming completely talc-free by the end of 2027. Ethical sourcing is specific: contract manufacturers must either belong to the Responsible Mica Initiative or verifiably source mica outside India. Packaging uses FSC-certified paper with minimised plastic, and carbon neutrality is a stated goal. The brand ships worldwide and restocks core shades continuously rather than treating them as limited editions. Designed in Berlin with production across the EU, and priced mid-range, Lethal is a serious option for vegan, paraben-free, ethical European beauty with customisable palettes.
