Palava

is a British designer clothing brand founded in 2015 by illustrator and creative director Bryony Richardson, who was inspired by her conviction that women — particularly as they grow older — are too often expected to blend invisibly into the background. Born from Bryony's previous experience running a children's clothing business called Poppy, Palava was built from the ground up as an independent label dedicated to producing colourful, hand-illustrated prints with character and storytelling at their heart, all manufactured in the UK using natural, biodegradable fabrics including organic cotton, TENCEL, and linen with no polyester or plastic blends. The brand believes clothes should be made to last, made with care, and made in a way that respects both people and the planet, and designs pockets into everything as a matter of principle. With a small team of four, Palava offers designs for women, children, and the home.
