The Jean Maker A Johannesburg-based luxury denim and lifestyle brand founded in 2015 by Tshepo Mohlala, built on a deeply personal mission to create clothing that tells stories and celebrates African identity. Tshepo creates bespoke jeans, dungarees, denim shirts, tees, and ready-to-wear pieces in his Victoria Yards atelier, sourcing cotton from Zimbabwe and using African-originated Twill weaving and Japanese indigo dyeing techniques to create what he describes as genuinely African denim.
