Alix of Bohemia

an Italian textile legacy and generations of French artists, founder Alix Verley-Pietrafesa was inspired by the mid-century Bohemians of Paris and the Bloomsbury Group while studying art history in Scotland, where she picked up a needle and began making clothes by hand. Formally established in London in 2009, this designer clothing brand is rooted in wanderlust, with far-flung travels across Europe, Asia, and the US serving as the canvas for its collections. The brand puts a fresh twist on resort style with block prints, relaxed shirts, and personality pieces, with each item hand-crafted to create a unique, whimsical feel. In 2018, the brand expanded beyond bespoke pieces and began producing seasonal collections, and in 2019 opened its first store on Christopher Street in New York. It continues to offer limited runs, one-of-a-kind pieces, and custom commissions, remaining a truly artisanal label.
