Huishan Zhang

Zhang is a London-based luxury designer clothing brand launched in 2011 by Chinese-born designer Huishan Zhang, who grew up in Qingdao, China and moved abroad at age 17 before eventually settling in London. After studying at Central Saint Martins, he was handpicked by Delphine Arnault to work at the Dior Haute Couture atelier in Paris, an experience that shaped his exacting approach to craft and construction. The brand creates a luxurious East-meets-West aesthetic, finding inspiration and direction through his Chinese heritage while applying the couture techniques he mastered at Dior. A piece from his very first collection was selected by the Victoria and Albert Museum for its permanent collection, and he has since been named to the BoF 500 and was a finalist for the LVMH Prize in 2015.
