Maria McManus

McManus is a luxury womenswear designer clothing brand founded in 2020 by Irish-born designer Maria McManus, who was born in Dublin and lived in Europe, Japan, Southeast Asia, and Australia before settling in New York City. After two decades in senior fashion roles at Ralph Lauren, Club Monaco, and Rag and Bone, she grew increasingly frustrated by the industry's failure to truly integrate sustainability into its core operations, and launched her eponymous label to build something different from scratch. All materials are thoughtfully sourced from Europe and Japan using the highest quality recycled, organic, natural, and biodegradable fibers, and every step of production is transparent and traceable. The brand has gained a following among tastemakers like Christy Turlington Burns, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jennifer Lawrence, and is stocked at Nordstrom, Bergdorf Goodman, and Selfridges.
