Marques'Almeida

Almeida is founded in 2011 by Portuguese designers Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida, who first met at fashion school in Portugal and relocated to London in 2009 to pursue their MA at Central Saint Martins, where they combined their talents and launched the designer clothing brand. They showed their first two seasons under Lulu Kennedy's Fashion East platform, and their LVMH Prize win in 2015 propelled them to international recognition. The brand became synonymous with creative denim, being credited with helping launch the revival of distressed denim in the 2010s, though their broader vision has always been for high-end, cool, raw, and relevant ready-to-wear. Champions of community, sustainability, and inclusive casting, the brand has been worn by Beyonce, Rihanna, and a devoted global following.
